This program is for both experienced and newer fire department personnel, and all officers who operate apparatus. The morning classroom session will include tanker/tender apparatus, determining water needs, tender delivery rates, common sources for water supplies, dry hydrant(s), tender shuttle operations, fill site operation, dump site operations, portable tank operations, pumper operation, and the water supply officer. Actual tender shuttle operations exercises will be used outside in the afternoon session. This class will provide an overview of ISO’s credit in the Fire Suppression Rating Schedule for Fire Department Supply (FDS), commonly known as hauled water or tanker shuttle operations. PPE is required for tender shuttle operation exercises.
