Hands on and “PowerPoint” presentation will familiarize the rescuer with new vehicle safety systems as well as new vehicle construction and how to deal with them in auto extrication scenarios. Each student will learn about: Vehicle anatomy, Identification of Safety Systems, Air Bag Systems, Seat Belt Pre-Tensioning Systems, Battery Systems and Locations, New Glass Technology, Hydraulic Lift Cylinders, Care Fires relating to these systems, Extrication Techniques and much more! PPE will be required for portions of this class.
