#33 Sat. Emergency Response to a Flammable Liquid Transport Incident

This class will cover emergencies involving highway fuel tankers. The course will cover
the design and construction, operational overview and safety features of a DOT 406
fuel transport vehicle which will be on-site. The course content will include foam
application rates & proportioning, foam operations, firefighting tactics and the decision-
making process when responding to a fuel transport incident. Leak control, spill response
and product transfer operations from a damaged transport will be covered by a local
OSRO (Oil Spill Response Organization) during the course. This course is designed to
provide demonstrations to the students. No live firefighting will be involved.
